This is where I began my mission. I wanted to know what happens to people who are left in the wake of gun violence--whether it was an accident, by the hands of a stranger, by a known assailant or family member, or even by the police. What is the aftermath of Gun Violence. Who is affected, who are the perpetrators and who are the victims and what becomes of these traumatic experiences. Where does the trail of tears lead.
I didn't find all of the answers I was seeking but I got a pretty accurate picture of how "what" happens, leads to unimaginable pain at the loss of life. I was also able to gain some insight into what makes this issue one that divides us, as a Nation that places a high value on maintaining the status quo.
I believe the culture of death, is an industry that is fueled by the laws and the lawmakers of our country--all the way from our local communities, clear on up to the Supreme Court of the United States. There appears to be a Black & White divide over Once I stopped looking towards Washington, DC, for my solution, I realized that all I had to do was look in the mirror. This is my answer. I am the change that will make a difference. Anyone can do it. All you need to do is care. I cared about these lives. Now, I'm doing something to change hearts and minds--not Washington. As long as politicians can profit from the sale & manufacture of WMD, Weapons of Mass Demand--there will be death. As long as there is Gun Death, there will be a GUN DEATH THEATRE.
Check my Events page for a Gun Death Theatre event, near you. Thank you for you support & for your donations.
